Bishop Climate Ministries A Place Where The Captives Are Set Free
Dear Child of God,
Sometimes in life we go through situations. At times we blame ourselves, we blame others, we blame circumstances, we try to make sense of why things happen the way they do. But Child of God, many times it is none other than the powers of darkness that are at work in order to destroy your life.
This is exactly what happened to Job. The Bible tells us he was a righteous man, to the point that God even boasted about him before satan. And in one of the greatest showdowns ever recorded in the Bible, God handed him over to satan to prove that Job would continue to worship him no matter what.
Suddenly Job, a man of wealth and stature and high regard in his region, was stripped of everything, his children dead, his vast livestock gone, he was stricken with illness, and left to himself to wonder what exactly happened. His wife tried to blame God and give up on him, his friends tried to blame him, and Job just looked up, never knowing about what took place in the heavenlies that day between God and satan.
But child of God, we see something hidden in scripture that indicates what really happened. You see, sometimes we can do things or allow things that will put our lives in the very hands of satan. The Bible tells us that satan could not find a way to penetrate Job’s life because God had built a hedge all around him. (Job 1:10)
But when God allowed him, suddenly he realised there was an opening. And all the rage of hell was unleashed through that little hole.
You see Job had one big issue. The Bible tells us that every day he would get up and make sacrifices on behalf of his children.
And when the days of their feasting were over, Job sent for them to purify and hallow them, and rose up early in the morning and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed or disowned God in their hearts. Thus did Job at all [such] times. (Job 1:5)
On the surface it looks great, but deep-down Job was living with fear. He was afraid that one day his children would die and go to hell. And so he was constantly making intercession for him. But child of God, when you do anything out of fear, it creates an open door for satan. You see when you are afraid of losing anything, it could be your marriage, your children, your career, your money, but when you are afraid of losing it generates a vibe of destruction to come your way.
Job said “What I greatly fear has come upon me” (Job 3:25). And it’s true. Remember fear is the opposite of faith. When you are absorbed by fear, those images in your mind they begin to come to reality. They begin to invite destruction. If you are afraid of dying from a road accident, or robbers breaking into your home, or your spouse cheating and leaving you, by continually thinking on those thoughts you are opening up a door for the forces of destruction to come and eliminate your life. They will come and eliminate your marriage, eliminate your career, eliminate your health. Sometimes there are health situations, destructions that are taking place in our bodies, or our marriages, or our finances, and they were opened up to by the spirit of fear. You must be free from this spirit. This year you cannot let fear control you. This year you must stop letting people and things affect your heart. Let God be in control. Stop being afraid to lose things and just trust God. Then God can put you back into your rightful position.
Child of God we really need to dismantle this spirit before it has a chance to ruin your life anymore. But you must take an action. You cannot just do anything and expect things to change or be different. If you really want this spirit of fear to stop ravishing your life then we must pray. Remember Jesus said, there are things that can only go out by prayer and fasting. I believe so strong that this is one of them. And that is why I have
