This week as I’ve been preparing for the service, God has been speaking to me about something that I must share with you. I’ve been here in Scotland this week and on Wednesday I was just sitting down with some of our saints and they were asking me about vows. And through just answering their questions, God began to give me a deeper revelation about the power and often curses that are associated with vows. 

Have you ever spoken something like: “If this is how life is going to be it’s better I never get married”, or “it’s better I stay broke”? Or even when you see a family or loved one in pain and say that you wish you could just take that sickness upon yourself instead of them?

Sometimes there are vows that we can make out of fear, anger, frustration, or out excitement, but what you don’t know is that a vow is binding and it will always come back looking for you. 

When a man vows a vow to the LORD, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth. (Numbers 30:2)

One day a lady came to see me, a very beautiful woman and successful in her own right, she had everything that she needed except a husband. And she told me how anytime she meets a man after a short time suddenly they disappear and don’t speak to her anymore. When I prayed about it God revealed to me that years before she had vowed that she never wanted to get married. Now that her desires had changed, the devil was still holding her accountable to that. 

I’m not just talking about negative speaking, I’m talking about making a vow or a promise in your heart, it’s sincere, and when you do that, you bind yourself spiritually. 

That is why the Lord showed me that there are some things you are facing today, some circumstances that you just can’t seem to get rid of and it’s because of vows that have been made knowingly or unknowingly. There are some health problems, some marriage problems, some financial problems, that in spite of all your prayer, fasting and good deeds, don’t seem to fix themselves. And it’s because of a vow that was made years ago that must fulfil itself in your life. Today we must break that in Jesus name. 

The Bible tells us that when a woman makes a vow the only way for it to be cancelled is for her father or her husband to annul it. This is talking about covering, physical or spiritual covering. 

But if her father disallows her in the day that he hears all of her vows and of her bonds with which she has bound her soul, they shall not stand, and the LORD shall forgive her, because her father disallowed her. (Numbers 30:5)

The Lord spoke to me that tonight, as your spiritual Father, for all those who are willing to believe, I’m going to pray for you for every vow that has been sentencing your life to poverty, lack, rejection, sickness, singleness, failure, depression, etc. to be broken. As your spiritual father I’m going to break that vow and cancel it’s powers over your life. As a result God is going to forgive and restore you. 

Yes that is why right now I want you to come in agreement with me. There could be areas of your life where you know you have uttered rash words. For example you said you never wanted to get married, or you don’t want too much money, or you would rather die than for a specific thing to happen. Remember what happened to Rachel. Out of fear and frustration, 

When Rachel saw that she was not bearing Jacob any children, she became jealous of her sister. So she said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die!” (Genesis 30:1)

Later on as she was giving birth to her second and last child, she died during the childbirth. The vow she had taken earlier on ended up coming to pass. Perhaps if Jacob had understood this principle he could have cancelled it and saved his wife. 

Is that not what Job did when his wife began to speak negative? When she told him to curse God and die, he told her to shutup for she was speaking like a foolish woman. (Job 2:9) 

Today God has ordered me to stand in the gap and cancel every negative vow that has been chasing your destiny in order to come to fulfilment.

That is why right now I need you to send me your prayer agreement form with the areas you know you have vowed negative things into your life and other areas where you have been suffering that could be as a result of vows you have made or have been made against you unknowingly. At the same time God has put in my spirit that you must sow a seed of £30 according to Numbers 30. This is a special seed of repentance to accompany your prayer of faith. Once I receive both your prayer agreement form and your seed of faith, I’m going to lay my hands over it and pray for you personally for every negative vow to be cancelled.

Today I am going to release you from every negative vow that has bound your soul to lack and rejection. And I’m going to ask God to release you from every vow that has bound your soul to sickness, singleness, rejection, and poverty.

Once you are free from the curse of delay it is important that you must not play with sin so that you don’t find yourself in the same situation . Other triggers of delay in your life include the wrong use of the tongue (Numbers 14:27-33), indecision (Songs of Solomon 5:2-6) and the fear of failure. The children of Israel murmured and God caught them, God then delayed the whole nation for 40 years but instead child of God sing songs of praises. I always preaches about how each today, and how be able to experience a new rise in your life and break away the spirit of Delay. Today exercise the goodness of God in your life, rejoice and celebrate what He has done for you. Don’t let fear hold you back from getting to the point where you are supposed to be in life. Today you will have your own place! your own status! your own husband! Your own job! your own destiny! God is about to release you. You will not be disappointed another day of your life. In the name of Jesus I now release and release every Laban and every body that are not apart of the divine plan of my life right now every Laban is no longer apart of my life or apart of my divine plan of my life so right now I am released Amen”. “Praise the Lord! Last month Fire Service I couldn’t attend, but I gave my fire prayer request form to my sister who came to the service on my behalf. Bishop you said If you know the names of your enemies write it down I wrote on the prayer request form if you are an enemy of mine, or my mother die by fire. Only last week I called my mom and she said that she heard the name of the person that I put on the fire list had an accident with a broken spine! I also wrote down on that same list regarding my immigration status. When I put in a new application and they were meant to give me my indefinite stay, but the person who handled my case based me under the new law instead of the old one. and ended up giving me three years.  I wrote down whoever is handling my case and is not for me die by fire but whoever is for me put them in place. Since putting it in the fire service, I received my papers for my three years and a complimentary card! This card had the persons details who was dealing with my case, which is a miracle because you can never get there details.
